Susan Borck purchased the Wakefield Farms property in Brenham, Texas in 1998 as a weekend respite from hectic city life.  In 2002, she moved to the property full-time and Wakefield Farms the bed and breakfast was born. The grounds included a cottage built in the early 1850s by German immigrants as well as a historic farmhouse and schoolhouse. To this day, the property is an active farm with goats, sheep, and chickens.
