I recently had the opportunity to talk with Daryl King at the Bacon Mansion in Seattle about his buuteeq website. Daryl is a leader in the Washington State Bed and Breakfast Guild in the Seattle area, and it seems like every other innkeeper I’ve talked to knows him.
I had to laugh when I asked Daryl if he would mind acting as a reference for buuteeq. Apparently, he already has already been doing this on many, many occasions. Being so well known, and so well respected, he’s been contacted by other innkeepers asking about if buuteeq is worth it. As he says, “I certainly gave them every reason to go your way.”
Daryl came aboard the buuteeq DMS in April of 2011, and he has seen his reservations increase in every month except October since then. A large part of this is the three channel
Great, interactive articles help to keep guests engaged, increase their time on site and ultimately convert them into reservations
integration that the buuteeq DMS allows. Not only does the buuteeq DMS give Daryl the ability to manage his great looking hotel website, but every update he makes to his website is automatically synced to his hotel mobile website and to his hotel Facebook app. This three tiered integration is especially important today, as iPads and smart phones account for nearly 40% of the reservations being made.
Further, Daryl benefited from the great organic boost in Google search rankings that he got from the well-designed buuteeq platform. Try googeling “Seattle bed and breakfast” and see who the first property that comes up is. Just as important as that, the content and the
information architecture of the site draws guests in and keeps them engaged with the Bacon Mansion. Daryl’s average time on site is over 10 minutes–fantastic returns that he tracks with buuteeq’s hotel website analytics.
At the end of the day it’s all about reservations. And when the Bacon Mansion brings in more guests, month after month and year after year, we at buuteeq have done our job. Take a look at the Bacon Mansion’s website and mobile website and let us know what you think.
