Adventuring in Maui
When my wife, Tami, and I began planning for a trip to Maui in October 2011, I called the owners of a luxurious six-room B&B on Maui, called Ho’oilo House, to set up a face-to-face meeting to discuss how buuteeq helps inns and B&Bs improve digital marketing, reach more potential guests and book more rooms.
Dan and Amy had discovered buuteeq on a discussion forum hosted on the Professional Association of Innkeepers International website. After an online demonstration and discussions by phone, they were considering using buuteeq’s hotel Facebook app to enhance their Facebook page and convert more guests.
Arrival at Ho’oilo House in Maui
When I arrived, Dan met me at the gate and showed me around their lush, Zenful, getaway on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains, about two miles east of Lahaina, and not far from the Kaanapali resort area. The Asian- and Maui-themed rooms surround an A-framed center and big-windowed community room with a grand view of the island of Lana’i. Each of the rooms has a private patio and an eclectically designed outdoor shower. Breakfast fruits are often plucked from the two-acre property’s organic orchard. Dan and Amy have installed solar panels that generate about 90% of the house’s power.
Ho’oilo House is a gorgeous and refreshing alternative to the traditional resort scene, offering more space, privacy, and comfort. The view from the property is spectacular, and all attractions and points of interest on Maui area easily accessible. You are just a couple minutes from the great collection of restaurants, shops and activities in Lahaina, while in a beautiful, peaceful setting, away from the traffic and noise.
Growing With buuteeq’s Hotel Web Design
Dan and Amy are enjoying the benefits of their new hotel Facebook app, and have decided to use buuteeq’s full platform with a beautiful high-performing website, and website optimized for mobile devices. They know using buuteeq will enhance theirs guests’ experience and make managing their digital marketing easier. Their full system is now in production and will be live in November.
