How buuteeq delights guests
On a recent trip to Los Angeles, I had the pleasure of staying at the Omni Hotel. As soon as I walked into the hotel lobby the concierge immediately acknowledged me and proceeded to check me in. When I entered my hotel room, I was greeted by a beautifully decorated, modern room with a flat screen TV. The bathroom had glass paneled shower, a bathtub, more soft fluffy towels than I will ever need, and the toiletries: aloe honey shampoo and conditioner, cotton balls, fragrant shower gels, and a sewing kit. I had access to internet, the concierge was very helpful in providing me with recommendations for restaurants, and the next morning I received a freshly printed copy of US Today.
Who doesn’t love freebies? I can honestly say that one of the most enjoyable aspects of my travels are the complimentary toiletries, gourmet breakfasts, newspaper, free Wi-Fi; the list is endless. As soon as the door opens to a queen sized bed double occupancy and panoramic view suite, I am 8 years old again on Christmas morning.
Through my years of travel I have a noticed a consistent change in the type of amenities being offered by the hospitality industry. There was once a time when I had to specially request these treats, and, after my stay, I would receive a bill for them at check out. These days, if you are a guest at a hostel, bed and breakfast, inn, or hotel, there will usually be some kind of a freebie or discount being offered. Sometimes, I am offered things that I didn’t even realize I need, and the goal of hospitality is fulfilled in the form of a happy, surprised guest.
My experience in LA really got me to thinking about buuteeq. As an employee at buuteeq, I have been very fortunate to work with a wide variety of properties all over the world while helping hoteliers, innkeepers and property owners deploy high quality and rich-in-detail websites to increase their online presence and bookings. The people using buuteeq are paying to get a high performing website, social media exposure and mobile access. However, buuteeq also offers many unexpected surprises to their users in the form of easily accessible performance analytics and consistent updates that naturally serve its users.
The hospitality industry has gotten more creative with their free goodies for people to delight in collecting, and I have found a similar bevy of surprising benefits in my first couple weeks of working for buuteeq.
