Lu Wang – Venice Blvd. Hideaway
I went to California with my husband because I had never been to Disney Land before. I stayed at the Venice Blvd Hideway, one of our long-time customers. It’s an amazing house–a kind of art gallery. You find art on every wall, plus fountains, a homey fireplace and a lovely garden. Staying at Venice Blvd is relaxing and they make you feel right at home. As soon as I got there, I sat in the high bar stool and had a warm cup of coffee in the California sunshine. The house is very close to the beach where we went to enjoy cold beer and the sun’s rays!
We went on the Disney California Adventure because I was told that it was a lot of fun and aimed more for adults. It was awesome! There were lots of fun activities and a very cool show at night called World of Color. They shoot water high up into the air and project scenes from many Disney movies with brilliant lights on the falling showers.
We then went to San Diego where we stayed at the La Jolla hotel. We went to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and got to feed giraffes and rhinos! We went on the Flightline Safari, which is a zip-line that goes from the office all the way across the park. From 160 feet in the air we saw cheetahs, deer, rhinos and more galloping in the park below while we zipped by overhead for two minutes. It was such a blast! That night we went back to La Jolla and enjoyed a nice dinner at the hotel restaurant while enjoying the gorgeous San Diego sunset.
